OSLO - Israel's army chief told a US Congress delegation in late 2009 he was preparing for a large war in the Middle East, probably against Hamas or Hezbollah, leaked US diplomatic cables showed on Sunday.

Man shot dead by colleague, accused still at large

A man was shot dead in Islamabad's suburbs on Friday, in the jurisdiction of Koral Police Station. A police official said that 40-year old Malik Abid Fraze, son of Muhammad Bashir and resident of Mansehra, was shot dead by his colleague Muddassar at PWD colony.
Both the deceased and the accused were working as electricians. Muddassar shot Fraze due to unknown reasons and escaped from the scene, police said.
