KU and UoG to join hands
KARACHI: The vice chancellors of the University of Karachi (KU) and University of Gujrat (UoG) on Tuesday agreed in principle that the two universities should collaborate on various sectors of education. A meeting was held in this regard between the KU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui and UoG Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Nizamuddin. Nizamuddin along with his wife was on a visit to the KU, which is their Alma mater as well.

Taliban should join Afghan peace talks, says Karzai
KABUL: Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Tuesday urged the Taliban to join talks to bring peace to the war-torn country, despite the insurgents' leadership ruling out negotiations.
