LAHORE - As many as 40 houses in the Zia Colony, Township are involved in gas theft and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL) management has turned a blind eye to the situation, Pakistan Today learnt on Thursday. The colony's survey by Pakistan Today reveals that an illegal meter is installed in the colony and the rest of the houses are getting gas from it. Sources said that SNGPL officials are accommodating those gas connections and, despite repeated complaints, are not disconnecting

LAHORE - Provincial Labour and Auqaf Minister Syed Ehsaan-ud-Din Qureshi announced the establishment of a residential colony for labourers consisting 1296 houses worth Rs 2177 million each on Defence Road, during a departmental briefing on Wednesday. Qureshi said 70 percent development work had been completed in the colony where all basic and modern residential facilities will be available.

LAHORE - Kashf Foundation initiated re-construction in the flood affected village "Manna" in Kot-Addu Tehsil, Muzaffargarh District after the successful completion of its relief phase.
