Kinnaird girls clinch Inter-Dist Cricket title
LAHORE - Kinnaird Club won the 5th Regional Inter-District Senior Women's Cricket Tournament beating Garrison Club in the final here on Monday. KC took full advantage of the home conditions to overpower Garrison Club by five wickets.
Garrison Club decided to bat and gathered 114 runs in 35.1 overs. Sidra Nawaz scored 36. Zeba 10 and Sabahat 13 were the other players who reached double figures. Mehwish with two wickets was the pick of the bowlers while five girls were run out.

Pakistan girls off to Bangkok for Fed Cup
LAHORE - After a break of more than a decade, the Pakistan women's tennis team has left for Bangkok to feature in the Fed Cup. The Fed Cup is the premier team competition in women's tennis, and is considered the equivalent of the Davis Cup.

LAHORE - The Punjab U-16 girls athletics team won the PSB Inter-Provincial Youth U-16 girls Athletics Championship held from January 24 to 25 in Karachi. They secured 68 points to clinch the title while Sindh secured 55 points and KPK declared third with 35 points.

PESHAWAR - Some unidentified armed men blew up a girls' school on Monday in Khyber Agency. Khyber Agency's administration said the armed men planted explosives in the girls' school in Landi Kotal, Sub-Division of Khyber Agency and added that the explosion damaged three rooms and the boundary wall of the school.
