MINOR’s MURDER CASE – SHO arrested, IGP condoles with girl’s father

GUJRANWALA: After Punjab Police Inspector General Tariq Saleem Dogar ordered arrest of the suspended Garjakh Police Station SHO Mian Abdul Jabbar for releasing the culprit involved in molestation and killing of a three-year-old girl, the SHO has been arrested.
Dogar directed the RPO Tariq Masood Yasin to ensure the arrest of the accused that SHO let go after initial investigations. The SHO also showed negligence in tracing the girl. Dogar said, “Incident is alarming and challenging for the police and I assure the aggrieved family that the accused will be trialed in anti-terrorism court.”
During his visit to Garjakh, where the three-year-old Samawia was strangled after molestation by her neighbour Raheem Gull and her dead body was found three days after.
The deceased’s father, Sajjad Butt expressed dissatisfaction over police investigations and told Dogar that after his daughter’s abduction he himself caught Raheem but the police released him and after that his daughter was murdered and thrown in garbage by the same accused who disappeared soon after.
He said that five relatives of the accused were also presented to the police for investigation and had the SHO taken a timely action his daughter could have been recovered safely.
