Lutfi named Pakistan football coach

LAHORE - The Pakistan Football Federation has hand over the reigns of the national team for the Olympics qualifying round to former coach Tariq Lutfi. He replaced Akhtar Mohiuddin as the head coach for the national team which started its preparation for the Olympic qualifiers against Malaysia on Saturday at the Model Town Ground in Lahore. MTFA to host national youth football camp

LAHORE - The Pakistan Football Federation has approved Model Town Football Academy (MTFA) Ground for the national camp to prepare the Pakistan Youth team which will appear in the 2012 Olympics Asian qualifying tournament. The camp will start from January 15 at MTFA.

LAHORE - Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has announced draws for the PFF-KESC Lyari Football League 2011. The event will comprise 32 matches, out of which 24 will be league matches and eight will be elimination encounters.

PFA declares Lahore Football League illegal

LAHORE - The Punjab Football Association Secretary Agha Muhammad Latif declared DFA Lahore League illegal as it goes against the PFA Calendar. As per yearly Activity Calendar issued by PFA, the DFA league was to be held from March 15, 2011. But DFA officials announced that the league would start from December 25, 2010.
