Lahore - Met Office predicted rain of light to moderate intensity at scattered places of upper parts of the county on Thursday/Friday, resulting some relief in the prevailing cold / foggy weather conditions. Minimum temperature in Lahore dropped to 1 Celsius, whereas maximum temperature remained at 19 Celsius in the Provincial metropolis.

Lahore - Citizens face problems in commuting owing to missing street lights as fog continues to engulf the provincial metropolis. PESHAWAR - Severe cold waves and fog have hit the daily life activities in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa particularly in the central region known as Peshawar Valley.

Dense fog envelops the city
LAHORE - Heavy fog and cold weather was witnessed in Lahore on Thursday, as the minimum temperature fell to 2.5 degree Celsius. The Met Office has forecast cold weather with heavy fog in the coming days.
According to details, around 22 cars collided with each other in the heavy fog owing to which two people died while several others were injured. The bad weather also delayed foreign and domestic flights by five to seven hours.

Safety tips for driving in fog
LAHORE: With the start of the fog season, National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) has started adopting extraordinary preventive measures to avoid fog-related accidents. NH&MP Inspector General Dr Wasim Kauser, while presiding over a meeting about the safety arrangements on national highways & motorways held at IG camp office Thoker Niaz Baig, said that the motto of 'safety first' should be kept in mind before boarding a vehicle one should check car lights and wipers.

Vehicles without fog lights banned from motorway
FAISALABAD: Motorway police has banned the entry of all those public transport vehicles that travel without fog lights on motorway, to avoid accidents.
Motorway Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Nisar Ahmed Saroya has directed the motorway police M3 section between Lahore and Faisalabad to challan the vehicles that violate the fog light rules.
