LAHORE - The Punjab cabinet, during its meeting on Monday, approved the draft bill of the Walled City of Lahore Act 2011. The meeting, chaired by Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif, also approved the draft bills of the Punjab Food Safety & Standard Authority Act 2011 and the Online Legislation Project for promoting public awareness about the laws of provincial departments. KARACHI - A large-scale naval exercise is being conducted in the Arabian Sea from March 8 (today) to March 12 under the arrangements of the Pakistan Navy. GUJRANWALA - District Coordination Officer (DCO) Barrister Nabil Ahmad Awan has directed the city district government officers to remove encroachments to the facilitation of commuters and timely completion of development projects.

LAHORE - The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) is likely to develop a 1,000-kanal park in Johar Town while 14 playgrounds will be developed in various other localities especially the less-privileged ones, Pakistan Today has learnt.
