Punjab cabinet approves Walled City of Lahore Act 2011
LAHORE - The Punjab cabinet, during its meeting on Monday, approved the draft bill of the Walled City of Lahore Act 2011. The meeting, chaired by Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif, also approved the draft bills of the Punjab Food Safety & Standard Authority Act 2011 and the Online Legislation Project for promoting public awareness about the laws of provincial departments. The meeting also decided to enhance the quota of widows, martyrs, orphans and the disabled in the Aashiyana Housing Scheme

KARACHI - Students from class I to IV in the City District Government Karachi (CDGK) schools will be taught about road safety, emergency, disaster and rescue issues in their curriculum. LAHORE - Art Community arranged an art competition in the City School's Shalimar Campus on Saturday where famous cartoonist Javed Iqbal was the chief guest. Students depicted their art through paintings and drawings. In the end, a prize-distribution ceremony was held in which students who got top positions were awarded. GUJRANWALA - District Coordination Officer (DCO) Barrister Nabil Ahmad Awan has directed the city district government officers to remove encroachments to the facilitation of commuters and timely completion of development projects.
