LAHORE: Mayo Hospital doctors closed the Out Patients Department (OPD) on Wednesday in protest against the manhandling of medical staff, including two female colleagues, by families of two patients who succumbed to bullet injuries in the hospital's surgical wards late on Tuesday night.
The two patients were being treated for serious bullet injuries in the north surgical and east surgical wards of Mayo Hospital for the last several days.

LAHORE: With commuting problems continuing on the second day of the government-announced CNG holiday on Wednesday, citizens received marginal relief from the All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) who announced they will not observe a CNG strike today (Thursday).

LAHORE: The price of fish has risen considerably despite increased production this year. The price of fish ranges between Rs 150 to Rs 350 per kg, depending upon the size and type.
Put in comparison to last years prices when prices ranged between Rs 140-320 per kg but production was lower, this year's increase in price is significant. The fish market works by a simple logic: fish of larger size sells more expensive, fish of smaller size sells cheaper.

LHC admits petition challenging LDA’s commercialisation fee
LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed on Tuesday admitted for regular hearing and granted an interim stay on a petition challenging the commercialisation and conversion fee imposed by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
On the petition filed by Tahir Zia, the court as an interim order, required the petitioners to deposit six percent of the conversion fee and stayed the authority from resorting to any coercive action against them.

LAHORE: The Tahafuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat Mahaz organised a rally on Monday at the Mall Road against terrorist blasts at various religious shrines and staged a sit-in outside the CM's House.
