DUBAI: Pakistan on Sunday whitewashed Australia in the three-match T20I series by winning the final game by 33 runs in Dubai.

Aussies faced yet another batting collapse with joint-top-scorers Mitchell Marsh (21) and Ben McDermott (21) being unable to play till the end. Shadab Khan was the pick of the bowlers who picked three wickets.

With 163 runs in the series and two half-centuries, Babar Azam was given the Man of the Series award while Shadab Khan became the Man of the Match.

This is the first time Pakistan have whitewashed Australia in a limited-overs series longer than two games.

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and opted to bat.

The green shirts made 150-5 in the third and final Twenty20 international against Australia.

Pakistan were lifted by Babar Azam who made a 40-ball 50, Sahibzada Farhan (39) while Mohammad Hafeez made a 20-ball 32 not out.

For Australia, Mitchell Marsh took 6-2 in his only over.

Pakistan had rested opener Fakhar Zaman and fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, bringing in Sahibzada Farhan and Usman Shinwari.

Australia brought in off-spinner Nathan Lyon in place of seamer Billy Stanlake.

Pakistan had already clinched the three-match series after they defeated Australia by 11 runs in the second T20I, giving skipper Sarfraz Ahmed his 10th T20 series win since taking over as captain in September 2016.
