9 ministers do nothing

The myopic policymakers have been unable to plan prior to making policy decisions. The level of incompetence of the rulers could be judged by the fact that there are nine ministers and an advisor without portfolios who enjoy perks and privileges at the expense of the taxpayers while doing absolutely “nothing”.
A source told Pakistan Today that the portfolio-less ministers were enjoying all the perks including the official vehicles, staff and other privileges.
The devolution process has affected seven of these ministers and the advisor while the government is unable to allocate portfolios to the two federal ministers despite the passage of many months.
Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani was left without a portfolio after the PML-Q ministers took oath on May 2, as his ministry, Industries, was handed over to Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. The other, Engineer Amir Muqam, was initially allotted the Ministry of Production which he declined to accept and since then he has not joined any office and remains a cabinet member without any portfolio.
The list of devolution-affected federal ministers includes Samina Khalid Ghurki, Mir Israrullah Zehri, Mian Riaz Husain Pirzada, and Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain while the state ministers are Akram Masih Gill, Sardar Shahjahan Yousaf and Dr Paul Bhatti.
