After Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) victory in 2018 general elections, the party’s chairman Imran Khan on Friday was elected as the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Khan, whose party swept the July 25 general election and commands the loyalty of a majority of lawmakers in the Lower House of Parliament, will take an oath of office on Friday.
