Lahore: Burhan Wani, a Kashmiri freedom fighter, was martyred in 2016 by Indian forces on July 8.

People took to Twitter to remember the young hero.

Malik Salman said, “Proud father of a Brave son. Salute to Him.”

Dr Aima Khan said, ” Wani is one of those men who changed the valley’s history and the protests after his death on July 8, 2016, forced the United Nations (UN) to end its silence on the Kashmir conflict, led to unprecedented media coverage and considerably loosened India’s grip on the valley.”

Shoaib Roomi said, “Kashmir Freedom Movement has entered into a decisive phase and India has brazenly adopted unscrupulous tactics to stifle the movement before elections.”

Ali Ghori said, “Martyrs never die!”

Suddhan Sadaf Shareef said, “The more India and her one million occupation forces suppress Kashmiris, the more it will hear the ‘Slogans Of Freedom’.”
