RAWALPINDI: Senior politician Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was summoned by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday after his candidature was challenged from NA-59 Attock-III on Tuesday.
Nisar’s nomination papers for Na-63, NA-59, PP-10 and PP-12 were filed by his political aides after he decided he would contest the upcoming elections as an independent candidate.
Nisar chose to end his three-decade long association with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) due to ideological differences with PML-N leadership.
In the appeal, the petitioner had said Nisar was involved in the Supreme Court attack case.
