After a meeting of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) parliamentary board for the distribution of party tickets for the 2018 general elections, it has been decided that the final list of candidates will be announced on either Monday or Tuesday, media reports said.
The finalisation of candidates from Lahore and the interviews of various aspirants for the Islamabad constituencies have been scheduled for Sunday. Moreover, the party’s board will interview candidates for the reserve seats of women on Monday. The final list of PML-N candidates for the 2018 elections is hence expected by June 12.
Meanwhile, several former federal ministers gave their interviews on Saturday’s board meeting. PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif announced that none of the neglected leaders of the PTI will be allocated a ticket by their party.
