KARACHI: Early summer vacations in the province for public and private schools have been announced by the Sindh government on Monday.
The summer vacations have been rescheduled to be between 14 May and 1 July due to soaring temperatures and the holy month of Ramzan.
“All the educational institutions shall open on July 17,” read a notification released by the Sindh government.
The notification comes on the heels of a summary submitted to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah by the Sindh education department on Sunday seeking early summer vacations.
This year’s summer vacation pattern follows 2017’s as heat and Ramzan forced the government to announce early summer vacations back then as well.
