Sindh governor lauds Shehbaz for overcoming energy crisis in Punjab

LAHORE: Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday and discussed different matters of mutual interest as well as the political situation in the country.

Shehbaz said that everyone would have to work collectively in the larger interests of the country to ensure national development and prosperity.

“Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) fully believes in the development agenda that aims at public welfare. The elimination of terrorism as well as the energy crisis is the result of the untiring efforts of the PML-N government. Development is the right of people of Karachi as well as the Sindh province,” he said.

Sindh Governor Zubair said that the efforts of Chief Minister Shehbaz were commendable for overcoming the energy crisis and added that development schemes of Punjab were worth following for ensuring the development and prosperity of the people.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif took notice of the incident of injury of a citizen due to a metal twine at Mughalpura Bridge and ordered the strict implementation of the law that banned kite flying. He also ordered the provision of best treatment facilities for the injured.

CM’S MESSAGE ON WORLD HEALTH DAY:

In his message issued on account of World Health Day, the chief minister said that a healthy society could only be established through the provision of the best healthcare facilities.

He said that the provision of quality healthcare facilities to the people was the top-most priority of the government and it had allocated a good budget for the improvement of the health sector. Far-reaching reforms had been introduced to provide best healthcare facilities to the patients, he added.

He also expressed his satisfaction on the establishment of the state-of-the-art Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute.
