LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday rejected allegations of corruption in Multan Metro Bus project.
He said that no individual named Faisal Subhan had any involvement in the project.
He was referring to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s allegations regarding corruption in the project.
The law minister also said that Imran’s allegation of former policeman Abid Boxer having committed 250 murders was false because the Punjab police had only 12 cases registered against him.
Talking about former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar’s absence from Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz’s (PML-N) meeting on Tuesday, he said that Nisar could not attend the meeting because of some prior commitments.
Last week, PTI chief had alleged that Capital Engineering Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Faisal Subhan went missing after he exposed Punjab CM’s corruption.
He said that Subhan had exposed Shehbaz’s corruption in the Multan Metro Bus project to Chinese regulatory authority. Subhan revealed that the Sharif family received a huge sum in their overseas bank accounts.
He demanded that an inquiry should be started into his alleged disappearance.
PTI chief also requested the Supreme Court (SC) to ensure that the contracts of such projects are made public.
