ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly (NA) Syed Khurshid Shah said that people should propose names of candidates so that the best and most credible person could be nominated as the interim prime minister.
Reacting to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) defeat in NA-154, he said that the people of Lodhran rejected PTI’s politics by giving out their decision through votes. PTI won that seat for the first time in 2013 but they have lost it now, he added.
He further said that opposition started consultations regarding the nomination of interim PM.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, however, has not given any proposal on this count.
