SHEIKHUPURA: At least three people died and four others were injured in separate road mishaps here on Saturday. Police said that two motorcyclists identified as Muhammad Shafique, 45, and Maqsood ,44, died after being knocked down by an over speeding dumper near Saccha Souda marriage hall in the jurisdiction of Farooqabad police station in Sheikhupura. The dumper driver fled the scene.
One person died while three others were injured in a collision between two over speeding motorcycles on Gujranwala Road.
A youth was seriously injured after an over speeding car hit a motorcycle near Chowky Jeewanpura at Faisalabad Road in Sheikhupura.
The bodies of the deceased and the injured were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital where the condition of two of the wounded people is said to be critical.
The police registered a separate First Information Report (FIR) in each case and have started further investigation.
