ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Wednesday took notice of the delay in the completion of the Supreme Court (SC) Employees Cooperative Housing Society in Islamabad expressing dissatisfaction over the pace of work.
He resolved to address the issue at the earliest, directing the Director General (DG) Intelligence Bureau (IB) to conduct an inquiry into the matter to ascertain the cause of delay.
The CJP, visibly concerned about the plight of the citizens, asked the DG IB to investigate if any sort of corruption was involved in the matter.
The employees of the society have been complaining that despite a delay they have not yet been allotted any possession of the plots.
Meanwhile, workers at the SC went on a strike in protest for not being paid on Wednesday.
The cleanliness staffers at the SC said that they would continue their protest until they get their salaries.
