ISLAMABAD: Senate Functional Committee on Devolution on Friday expressed concerns over Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa not receiving their due right in the NFC Award, saying even debt was not released to the said provinces.
Showing displeasure with the procedure of releasing funds to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan and loan procedure for the provinces under the 18th Amendment, the Senate body directed the Finance Ministry to present a comprehensive briefing on the matter in the next meeting.
The committee meeting was held at the Parliament House with Mir Kabir Ahmed Shahi in the chair, and attended by Senators Taj Haider, Attaur Rehman, Nisar Muhammad, Usman Khan Kakar, Kamil Ali Agha and Liaqat Khan Turki besides the concerned ministries and labour officers.
