Sindh holds immense investment opportunities, CM tells London mayor

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Friday met London Mayor Sadiq Khan at the chief minister house.

According to a spokesman for the chief minister house, they agreed on the exchange of trade delegations.

Exchanging views with the mayor, the Sindh chief minister said that Sindh held numerous opportunities for investment, including in renewable energy, food processing, textile, agriculture and many other sectors.

He said that Sindh and London could work together on the rehabilitation of

Sukkur Barrage, up-gradation of irrigation system etc.

Sadiq Khan said that his Deputy Mayor Rajesh was also a businessman and he would lead a delegation of traders towards Sindh.

Earlier, the chief minister welcomed the mayor to the chief minister house and introduced him to the provincial cabinet members and senior bureaucrats.

The mayor praised the beautiful building of the chief minister house and

appreciated the chief minister for restoring peace in Karachi.

Ministers Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani and Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar, Sindh Chief Secretary Rizwan Memon, Planning and Development Chairman Mohammed Waseem and Sindh chief minister’s principal secretary Sohail Rajput were also present on the occasion.
