MULTAN: Mufti Abdul Qavi on Wednesday proposed a five-point agenda and an executive body for the resolution of problems of jail inmates after he was granted bail in Qandeel Baloch’s murder case.

Addressing a press conference at Jamiaul Aloom Ubadia, the cleric claimed that he was innocent in the Qandeel Baloch murder case, and said that police were moulding the case in different directions.

The cleric said that he slept peacefully in the central jail, adding that the police could not complete the challan even after the passage of 17 months.

He also said that he had not offered Rs10 million to anybody regarding the case. He added that every call he received from Saudi Arabia was connected to slain Qandeel’s brother Aslam Shaheen’s calls. He said that he had no interest in politics, however, he would work for jail reforms.
