LAHORE: Hundreds of passengers were stranded at the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Friday as around 70 flights were delayed due to heavy smog in the city and surrounding areas.
Long queues of passengers at the boarding and immigration counters were seen at the airport.
Airport authorities said that the passengers should enquire about their schedule before coming to the airport.
Smog has engulfed many areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa leading to a suspension of vehicular traffic at the motorway.
