ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, public opinion was evenly divided over the four-year performance of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government in maintaining law and order situation in the country.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked: “Ever since the PML-N government has come to power, do you think Pakistan’s law and order situation has improved, worsened or has it remained the same?”

In response, 33 per cent said it has improved; 32 per cent said it has worsened, 32 per cent said it has remained the same and 3 per cent did not wish to respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1752 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, September 25 to October 1, 2017.

The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95 per cent confidence level.
