KARACHI: A man was injured in an armed attack in Korangi area of the city on Monday. According to rescue sources, a 35-year-old man named Muhammad Azam, son of Fakhar Uddin, was attacked by unknown persons. As a result, he sustained bullet injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
Separately, a woman was electrocuted at his home in Surjani town area of the city.
A 35-year-old woman named Nabila, wife of Nadeem received severe electric shocks at her house in Surjani town’s Sector-36. As a result, she suffered burn injuries and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a postmortem examination.
Separately, a torture marked body of a teenage girl was found from Superhighway area on Monday. As per rescue sources, a body of a 13-year-old unknown girl bearing torture marks was recovered from Superhighway’s Jamali Goth. It was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Another 45-year-old man named Jameel Ahmed was injured in a road accident on Jehangir Road area of the city when he was hit by a fast-moving bus while crossing the road. As a result, he sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Karachi Civil Hospital for treatment.
