LAHORE: The relocation of the sabzi mandi in Badami Bagh has suffered a delay, as the PC-1 for the project worth billions has so far not been prepared.
According to sources, the project for relocation of the sabzi mandi does not seem to be nearing completion. For the initiation of the project, no comprehensive strategy has been undertaken as well.
The Punjab government had allocated an area of 1,040 kanal in Lakho Dair for which 30 crores had been paid as well, for the purpose of a bank, capacious parking, action platform and cold storage as well. But despite this payment, no progress has been made for work on the project.
