MULTAN: The lawyer community has observed strike all over Punjab on the call of Punjab Bar Council (PBC) due to a conflict between PBC and a judges’ bench.

According to media reports, lawyers are not appearing before the courts in connection with the hearing of cases due to which court proceedings are being affected badly, and hearings are being delayed and adjourned.

On the other hand, the strike of Multan High Court and district bar has entered the 29th day.

The clients are facing unprecedented difficulties as they come from remote areas, in connection with their cases, but they have to return.

Lawyers have also demanded the withdrawal of arrest warrants issued against the Multan High Court Bar President Sher Zaman Qureshi.

“Strike would continue till the acceptance of our demands,” said the lawyers.
