At least eight persons were killed while more than 50 were injured when a passenger bus plunged into deep ravine at Azad Patan area on Monday, police said.
According to details, the ill-fated bus was traveling to Rawalpindi from Thawar town of Poonch Division. The incident occurred when the driver of the bus lost his control over the vehicle and plunged into deep ravine.
As a result, eight persons died on the spot while more than 50 sustained injuries in which 15 were reported in critical condition.
After the incident, rescue teams reached the scene of the accident and shifted the dead and injured to hospitals of Kahuta and Rawlakot.
Police registered a case and started investigation.
