Mardan Youth Parliament distributed uniforms, stationary and tool kits among two hundred needy students of Government Primary School Shanday Kali and Khazanadehri here on Monday.
“The MYP is a platform for youth to help poor and needy students”, MYP Chairman Irshad Khan, President Daniyal Shams, and Vice-President Hamza Khan said. They started their activities in Mardan and people gave great respect to them. The government provided free books but poor students did not afford uniforms, stationary and they are dropped out from schools which caused intolerance in society.
MYP will stand by the poor students on every platform, they added. The government must increase the funding available to the education sector as lack of education would have a negative impact on the nation on a whole, they said.
They said lack of education has led to a rise in intolerance in society. Over the years, we have also seen an increase in crime rate across the country due to lack of education.
