KARACHI: Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair on Tuesday appreciated journalists for their contribution towards strengthening of democracy in the country.
Talking to a delegation of the Council of Pakistan Newspapers’ Editors (CPNE) here, he said journalists can play a crucial role in the formation of a welfare state.
He said journalists can help end inequality in the society, besides identifying shortcomings in the ongoing efforts for public welfare.
The governor urged the CPNE members to ensure that sound recommendations are forwarded to improve the situation coupled with steady vigil for ensuring desired results.
