On the directions of the federal government, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has obtained the services of a C-130 aircraft from Pakistan Air Force for the resumption of flights to Gilgit.
The flight PK-605, operated at 11 am instead of 7 am tomorrow.
The flight operation to Gilgit-Baltistan and northern areas was suspended shortly after the flight PK661 crashed in Abbottabad, killing all 47 people on board.
After the incident, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announced it would hold shakedown tests of the aircraft and subsequently the national airline decided to ground all the 10 ATRs in its fleet.
