Amnesty International President and Sindh Provincial Assembly Member Mehfooz Yar Khan on Saturday demanded of the Sindh government to remove illegal cattle and bird markets outside Liaquatabad Government Hospital till Sunday, otherwise, the National Highway would be blocked as a protest.
According to a press release, Khan said the illegal birds, cattle and other markets had been established in Sharifabad and its surrounding areas, causing problems for local people since long. A plea has also been lodged to Deputy Commissioner Central, SSP Central and DIG Central for removal of these illegal markets.
He demanded of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to play his due role for removal of illegal markets outside the hospital, otherwise, local people would stage a protest demonstration on National Highway.
