Plight of Umrah passengers

Apropos your reporters news of the plight of Umrah passengers published in your paper dated 29-03-11. First it was the poor Hajjis who were ruthlessly ripped off of their lifelong savings and now it is the turn of Umrah passengers. It seems greed has overtaken both sense of honour, morality and belief in religion. One cannot explain the complete absence of any attempt to put a stop to all this.

As far as the Umrah pilgrims are concerned, this has been happening for quite some time, but in the last three years things have taken a turn for the worse. The government seems to be not bothered at all by the planned rip-off of these unfortunate victims. People look up to the Supreme Court for justice but it alone cannot provide remedy for this malpractice.
