The noise pollution is a problem that we focus on very little. It can cause many diseases but it seems the public is totally unaware of its implications. A few days ago, I was on The Mall where I witnessed chaotic scene. Cars, rikshaws, buses and pretty much every other vehicle was blaring horns without even looking at what was happening around them in a traffic jam. Excessive use of horns can severely and permanently damage the hearing. Still we continue doing so without any reason. People are paying millions of rupees for their health but they do not have any issue with this problem. Why they are silent? Where is their voice?
