A terrorist who was recently arrested by law enforcement agencies revealed during interrogation that a group under the supervision of Commander Qari Hussain has devised a plan to target key buildings located at Red Zone besides key figures.
Law enforcement agencies have been directed to remain alert for safeguarding high-ranking security officials and beef up their security.
Meanwhile, following the recent wave of terrorist attacks in different parts of country, Islamabad police have further beefed up security in the federal capital and deployment has been increased at various public places, hotels and other important buildings.
Every effort is being made to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens.
