The world is penetrating into the spirit of change these days. Political turmoil and peoples wishes for freedom are changing the contours of world order. In this context, Pakistan is no less exception. A country where political victimisation was the order is now meeting the new challenges of accountability.
Although corruption is one of the big issues but tackling it through accountability has seldom been given attention. But, today it seems no less an exception where minister from ruling party has been investigated and arrested on the charges of corruption.
It needs to be appreciated that today Pakistans government and people have started imbibing the spirit of accountability which would ultimately lead to good governance and rule of law. Now, it is required on the part of media and civil society to keep this flame lightened and manifest sagacity in criticising the events of national importance.
