A revolution to remember

Historically, events around the world are mostly termed as conspiracies; indeed search of truth out of those had been surfacing ugly counterfeits after occurrence of debacles. The human history has seen this many a time. On the other hand, today or tomorrow, the truth has always prevailed, whether it is not supported by majority because of deliberate and sophisticated journalistic campaigns or the will of power masters-or combination of both. A Swiss-American biochemist Martin H Fischer inked something very truthful Truth is rarely writ in ink; it lives in nature and I think that is why it prevails.

He remained in the power corridors of Romania from 1965 to 1989. He was the President of Romania from 1971 till he was executed after a trial of 90 minutes in 1989. Nicolae Ceaușescu is said to be overthrown after a bloody revolution, western media claims more than 6500 killed in demonstrations against Nicolae Ceaușescu. The mass meeting of 21 December, held in what is now Revolution Square degenerated into chaos. The image of Ceaușescu’s uncomprehending expression as the crowd began to boo and heckle him remains one of the defining moments of the collapse of Communism in Eastern Europe. Ceausescus tilt towards western powers could not save him and his wife Elena from their ruthless and horrible end, rather what all he received as honour from the westerners such as GCB (Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath) by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, one day before his execution was stripped of his honorary. Queen Elizabeth also returned the Romanian Order Ceaușescu had bestowed upon her. Indeed the role of Radio Free Europe has been the key for development of the mass movement until the execution of Cheusescu and his wife Elena.

In the above background, it would be wise to heed the will of the people before hand. The dictators and monarchs in the Arab world would do well to remember this.
