Lax anti-terrorism law

Both the federal and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) governments seem to be least interested in taking any stern action against terrorists after they are acquitted from anti-terrorism courts or awarded mild sentences. Many suicide bombers or terror suspects were acquitted by courts or were sentenced to modest penalties. Both the federal and KP governments did not challenge the sentences and acquittal of terrorists from the courts. This shows a major loophole as we are unable to punish the culprits who have been openly involved in terrorism activities in Pakistan. Repeatedly, it has been stressed that the anti-terror law needs modification.
