The recent spree of kidnappings in Balochistan makes evident the seriously deteriorating law and order situation in the province. Members of the legal fraternity have been the latest target in the string of events which have already targeted media, minorities, law enforcement agencies and political figures. Recently, two judges of Sibi and four lawyers of Balochistan High Court have been kidnapped by unknown culprits. The growing incidents of terrorism should be an eye opener for the administration of the province. A proactive approach should be adopted to address the causes of terrorism instead of just taking reactionary steps against such acts.
