Pakistan celebrated its 64th independence day on 14 August, 2010. It was a dream of Muslims of the sub-continent to have a land where they could live independently according to the principals of Islam where rule of law and justice prevails. This dream turned into reality despite all the hurdle and impediments. Its all because of the efforts and enthusiasm of our great leaders of that time. They did not think of themselves, their sacrifices were for the coming generations.
Now the future of the country is in our hands. We need to stand united to make it strong, prosperous and sovereign state in the real sense. Its easy to point out fingers at others rather than coming forward with right solutions. Issues like unemployment, electricity failure, inadequate water supply, sky high prices, and terrorism and injustice are causing desperation and frustration in the nation. These are posing a severe threat to the sovereignty of the country. To make Pakistan a better place for us and for our future generation we need to identify the problems to eradicate them.
Government, itself, is the main issue that needs to be addressed. If it is incompetent, corrupt and dishonest, the country will suffer and the nation would have to bear the consequences. Only those individuals should be considered eligible to participate in election that have some sort of credible educational degree and experience in the field of international affairs, foreign policy, general knowledge and others of this nature.
Unjustified wages and protocol are given to the governmental officials. This should be ended as soon as possible. No official building should be built near residential areas. Referendum should be done on contradictory issues. If this method was opted regarding the change of name of NWFP, it would have been easier for the nation to accept it.
An autonomous body ought to be established to evaluate and analyze cost and rate of goods, equipments; etc that government is willing to purchase. It would be helpful in waning corruption and wrong decisions.
Police department should be under the surveillance and command of judiciary. Justice delayed is justice denied, steps are needed to be taken to ensure timely enforcement of justice. Justice should be for all, rich and poor alike.
Pakistans economy is suffering extensively because of shortage of electricity and water issues. Electricity short fall and water issues can be solved by constructing dams, through the use of uranium, and wind mills as they are good source for generating electricity. In Pakistan kidnapping of children is done extensively either to smuggle them out of country or to make them beggars. To save more children from being victimised, government should take responsibility of food and shelter for the disabled and needy.
Alcohol, cigarettes and addictive drugs should not be accessible to the children below 20 years of age. Identity cards should be must to get such them.
To get Pakistan out of the doom it is headed towards, proper measures need be done without any further delay. Everyone must play his part in making the country strong and prosperous.

Pray, pardon me if it hurts your feelings, but the problem lies in the very roots of the concept called Pakistan. You said that this state was carved out for the Muslims of the sub continent but do you know that there are more Muslims in India than Pakistan or Bangladesh and who are enjoying more human rights and better living standards and would have been far more happier if the neighbouring countries had allowed them to live in peace with their brethren belonging to other communities. The very concept of creating theocratic states is flawed; nations have come into being over a long period of time…because of their geography….their culture…the way of life. The religious beliefs which are rather new have not contributed anything to promote the concept of nations otherwise the Christian Germany would not have fought the Christian France and Britain. If faith were to be a cementing force for nation building then East and West Pakistan would still be together.

With all the due regards for the departed souls, the people credited for the creation of Pakistan and honoured as great visionaries were actually short sighted…they failed to see through the dirty designs of Winston Churchill…who could never forgive the people of this great land for their audacity to seek freedom from the British rule. He was of the firm opinion that we will not be able to rule ourselves and would need the British to come back to govern us. And therefore, to teach us a lesson and to make way for the return of the colonial rulers he had this grand design…to partition the country…so that the divided people keep fighting and bleeding each other thus ensuring the eventual return of their British masters.
Alas! the leaders of that era failed to see through this filthy game!!

Do you know that the correspondence between Winston Churchill and Mohammed Ali Jinnah leading to the partition of India continues to be held as Classified till date in the British Archives against the general norms of 50 years after which the documents and records are de classified?
You want to know why?
Because if it is declassified today then Churchill would be placed in the same class as Hitler, being responsible for the murder of 3 million innocent Indians as a consequence of partition.
I agree with Mr. Pandit.
