An analytical look at our everyday issues on the national problems and problems on the personal level indicate that there are hate-mongers who have made inroads in all the institutions and sections of the society.
Their only objective is to create confusion and bias in the opinion of the people, ultimately creating a divide and communication gap.
Looking at the media it seems that there is a deliberate effort in some programmes allowing the political leaders to falsely accuse each other. Either this is done to increase popularity or fulfil some other self serving purpose.
As there are no proofs of allegation and a hot debate continues letting down each other and the respective institutions. They forget that everyone needs boundaries where it is a part of moral code to take care of each others self esteem and dignity.
Hate can be personal and geopolitical. There is a need to remember what happened in the world due to this hate-mongering attitude. If we look at the example of Iraq, it is evident that a false propaganda was credible for a limited time. The media formed the opinion and created a shared mental environment.
Todays just verbal comments and statements in talk shows may create a mindset where confusion and indifferent attitude can prevail leading to providing opportunity to outside elements waiting to derail the democratic process or let down a nation.
On all the forums, comments which create hatred and fuel the fire need to be immediately checked and stopped. Leaders should be accessible to their people. Rules without relationship lead to rebellion. Spending more time with people would fill in the communication gap, dispel the negative influence of propaganda and create a feeling of belongingness and an attitude of dedication and respect.
Hate-mongers utilise all means in the form of books, movies, CDs leaflets, advertisements and print as well as electronic media.
They can be anywhere. It is also important that legal action to be taken against these indulging in hate-mongering. It is need of the hour to be united as the future of democracy, prosperity and stability of our country depends on safeguarding ourselves against hate-mongers
