We are a strange lot and our leaders even a step further. The PMs recent statement puts his credibility as a leader under doubt. He claimed that he would shield the president from elements who are bent on persecuting him. One wonders what he actually meant by this. Does the president need such protection and if yes, why and who are these elements? Without elaborating these points, the public cannot believe him to be any serious threat. Its like the president is being treated as a chicken while the PM is acting like a mother hen.
