Rawalpindi to appoint 1,500 new educators

The Punjab Education Department has decided to appoint 1,500 new educators in Rawalpindi to overcome deficiency of the teachers.

This was decided by Education Additional Secretary Muhammad Akhtar during his meeting with a delegation of teachers which called on him under Standard English School (SES) President Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam.

The teachers’ leadership presented a 12-point charter of demand to the additional secretary which was accepted.

The additional secretary said that no senior teacher will be transferred out of respective district due to drop out of students and no teacher will be awarded punishment on showing results below 75 per cent.

The teachers’ delegation was also assured that no school will be handed over to Punjab Education Foundation in future.
