The recent diatribe between the leaders of the two parties, the MQM and PML(N), has laid bare their true nature. The leaders of MQM have proven to be shallow and more vitriolic in character assassination while those of PML(N)s have shown the length they can go in order to keep their identity alive.
Whatever the outcome of this scene is, there is no way it could benefit the country or its nascent, scantly resuscitated democratic setup. However, the political actors, and some non-political ones too, may take advantage of the situation. In any case, the PPP-led federal coalition is in serious trouble if the party honchos of these leaders do not pitch in and play a role in controlling these hawks from unmasking each other in public.
