A flashback of the year 2010 tells us that it has not been one of the best years for Pakistan. The terrorists are still on the loose and a clear message can be identified that the enemy will not sit and watch us destroy them.
There have been a total of 44 suicide attacks in Pakistan this year. These attacks have killed 1033 people and injured 1992. Terrorist attacks, including suicide attacks, have killed 1704 civilians for the year 2010. As many as 438 security personnel have been killed while the military operation has killed over four thousand insurgents.
It is imperative that we continue to defeat terrorism through military. Parallel talks for peace and negotiation should also exist.
