Considering the security situation of the country, the importance of police check posts has been increased considerably.
Police provides a valuable service to the population by safeguarding their lives. However, sometimes we hear people saying that the attitude of policemen standing at the check posts is not as it should be. Some people also complain about the use of flash lights and torches by police during the night. This causes irritation and families sitting in the car are disturbed and feel offended.
It is purposed that all the check posts should be lightened up by using street lights so that the policemen dont have to flash the lights in the faces of people sitting in their vehicles. A well illuminated check post will also allow the policemen to check each and every vehicle quite easily and thoroughly. A good interaction between police and the population will surely be a good sign of a peaceful society.
