Misleading reports

Recently a report has been published in the media referring to a study conducted by Maplecroft, a private firm dealing as a global risk adviser and provides services to whoever hires them. The report highlights 10 countries at extreme risk regarding terrorism. Pakistan is second on the list.

There are very important questions linked to such self researched reports. Who asked the firm to survey for the extreme risk countries where terrorism is a threat? Who included Pakistan in the list and asked for such a ranking? What is the authenticity of the report? Who approved it? Where the data has been collected from? Why India has been left out where genocide of the Kashmiris is taking place and Indian army is involved in human rights violations?

Such reports are done only for the purpose of fulfilling propaganda designs to isolate Pakistan. The main objective is to discourage the investors so that economy of the country deteriorates and a crisis like situation develops. Why those who criticize and prepare such reports do not see the plans, actions and sufferings of the Pakistan Army while fighting against the terrorists? Why cant they support positively when the miscreants have been overcome by the Army and the efforts for peace are continuing? Why are they closing their eyes on the sufferings of the people?

Pakistan at this very decisive hour needs moral and diplomatic support to tackle terrorism, not malicious reports. Such reports are a threat to all the efforts to overcome terrorism and peace in the region.
