Railway tracks blasted

For the past few days, some portions of the rail track connecting Sindh and Punjab are being blown up by almost everyday.

In todays newspapers, Sindh Liberation Army has accepted the responsibility of these blasts. Although the blasts were of low intensity, they still pose a serious threat to the civilian population living in the surrounding areas. It is important for the authorities to exert effective control over these small yet dangerous militant groups.

Militancy is not reduced to tribal areas. Some nationalist elements across the country are also involved in this heinous task. Nationalism is acceptable, but its implications, especially in the form of terrorism, are not acceptable and thus should be condemned by every responsible citizen.
